Welcome to Bangladesh Bridge Authority

Bangladesh Bridge Authority (BBA) (erst. Jamuna Multipurpose Bridge Authority)  was created by Ordinance No XXXIV of 1985 on 4 July, 1985. The objective of Ordinance was to construct a Multipurpose Bridge over the mighty River, Jamuna.  It was further amended in November 23, 1998 (Act. XXI of 1998)]. In order to keep consistency of it’s works the government has changed it’s name as Bangladesh Bridge Authority (BBA).  According to last amended Ordinance the following task are assigned to the authority:

1              undertake feasibility studies for the establishment of bridge or for the construction of toll roads;

2              prepare comprehensive plans for the establishment of bridge or for the construction of toll roads for the consideration and approval of the Government;

3              take all necessary actions for the implementation of the plans approved by the Government under clause (b);

    Written Test for the post of Assistant Engineer under Padma Multipurpose Bridge Construction Project shall be held at 10:00 AM dated 16 April, 2010. Vanue: Selected rooms of Old Academic Building of Bangladesh University of Engineering and Technology, Dhaka.
    • Result for Viba test for the post of Asstt Engineer
    Result for the post of Assistant Engineer for Viba test has been published. A list is available now at Download/result section.  Viba test will be held on 28.03.2010 at 10:00 AM in Setu Bhaban (Mini Conference Room), Banani, New Airport Road, Dhaka-1212
    Those who are not getting Viba card before 24.03.2010 are request from BBA to contact Administration Section.

    • Written Test for the post of Sub-Asstt & Supderviser/Sub Asstt Director
    Written Test for the post of Sub-Asstt  Engineer and  Supervisor/Sub Asstt Director under Padma Multipurpose Construction Project  will be held on 19.03.2010 at Motijheel Govt. Boys School at 10:00 AM. If the Admit Card is not delivered within 16.03.2010 applicants are advised from BBA to contact Administration Section with an application & passport size photograph at office hour.

    • Written Test for Asstt Engineer
    The examination of Asstt. Engineer (Civil) under BBA will be held on 12 March, 2010 at BUET campus. The applicants those who are not receiving Admit Card before 9 March, 2010 are requested to contact BBA authority with Administration Section of BBA at office hour with an application & passport size photograph.
